Forever 21 will bring more of what has made the brand a fashion phenomenon to its new store at Los Cerritos Center, opening Friday, Jan. 22, with men's and women's fashions, accessories and shoes in an expansive, 85,691 square-foot department store setting.   

The new Forever 21 will join Macy's, Nordstrom and Sears as anchors of Los Cerritos Center, the 1.2 million square-foot regional shopping center that is located amid robust suburban communities near the 91 and 605 freeways southeast of Los Angeles.  The new store introduces one of Forever 21's largest concepts and takes the place of the former Mervyns location.

Both Forever 21 and Los Cerritos Center will celebrate the store's arrival in style.  On the grand opening day, Saturday, January 23, the first 500 shoppers in line will receive a Forever 21 gift card, with values ranging up to $210.  Previous debuts of Forever 21 stores have brought crowds of shoppers who line up early to be the first to shop the new store.  Grand opening day shoppers also will celebrate with an in-store DJ playing music throughout the day, live remotes from local radio stations and coupons for 10 percent off purchases of $40 or more. Forever 21 will also feature select merchandise for $5, $10 and $15 only available over the grand opening weekend while supplies last. Sprinkles Cupcakes Mobile will be on site, offering samples to customers who make a purchase on the day of the grand opening while supplies last.

Forever 21's break-out anchor store at Los Cerritos Center begins a series of additions for the shopping center, including a new Nordstrom and 36,500 square-foot specialty store expansion that is scheduled to open in May 2010.

Retailers announced for the expansion include the area's first  True Religion Brand Jeans store; Love Culture, the new concept for young women and teens; M▪A▪C Cosmetics, an edgy makeup line used by the fashion industry worldwide; and Foreign Exchange, which offers a global take on fashion.  Carlton Hair International and Vision Shoes will also take new shop space in the expansion, moving from an existing location in the center.
