CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. (NYSE: CBL) and Belk,Inc., today announced that fashion retailer Forever 21 will join Hamilton Place, CBL’s dominant mall in Chattanooga, TN.  As part of Belk’s ongoing renovation of its upscale department stores at Hamilton Place, the two-story Belk Men’s& Home store is being consolidated into the lower level of the existing building, making way for the new 60,000-square-foot Forever 21.  Construction on the new store will beginin October 2010 with a grand opening scheduled for early 2011. 

      “We are excited to introduce Forever 21 to Hamilton Place shoppers with their first and only Chattanooga location,” said Howard Grody, senior vice president – leasing for CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. “They are well-known for their to-the-minute fashions that appeal to savvy and style-conscious shoppers.  Forever 21 is a terrific complement to the great selection of stores at Hamilton Place including new additions [] and [], joining the mall later this year.”   

      Grody added, “Additionally, Hamilton Place visitors are sure to enjoy the enhanced shopping experience at the renovated Belk stores following the completion of their renovation in October.”

      Belk is currentlyconducting a $4 million renovation of its stores at Hamilton Place that includes updates to the interior design, décor and display fixtures, giving the stores an exciting new look.  The project encompasses both of Belk’s current store buildings at the mall. The children’s department will be relocated from the BelkMen’s, Home and Kids store into the Women’s store, which will continue to house all women’s apparel, accessories and cosmetics. The juniorsdepartment will receive a major overhaul and will move from the first level to the second level of the Women’s store. The remaining men’s and home departments of the Men’s, Home and Kids store will be consolidated into the lower level of the existing building. Both stores will remain open throughout the renovation project with a grand opening scheduled for October 13, 2010.

The Hamilton Place shopping complex features the prominent 1.1 million square-foot regional mall, Hamilton Place, several associated, community and power centers, and an abundance of restaurants.  The newest additions to the Hamilton Place shopping complex include Coach, Bare Escentuals, ULTA and Academy Sports + Outdoors.  More than ten new retailers joined the Hamilton Place shopping complex in 2009 including,  Tommy Hilfiger, Charming Charlie, Mac Authority, the Southeast’s leading Apple specialist; DSW, Prado Bridal, Earth Fare and Southern Lighting. Hamilton Corner, a lifestyle center located immediately adjacent to the mall, features upscale retailers and restaurants including LOFT, Coldwater Creek, Chico’s, Foil Salon, J.
